It starts making sense to me that why people still bother with alternative protocols like Gopher, DAT, and IPFS. Perhaps it is not too late to prepare for the worst yet.

His comparison between ActivityPub and Webmention/IndieWeb was the simplest and most clear to me: ActivityPub does everything dynamically, while Webmention/IndieWeb is based on the foundation of static HTML files. This scores a win for the latter for me.
